# Video: a behind-the-scenes look at a successful grassroots campaign

I recently posted [a write-up of a local campaign](https://mehrankhalili.com/successful-activism-portugal/) I worked on to save a piece of Portugal’s natural beauty from private development. 

The project *really* *worked.* In fact, it reached half its goals in only four weeks.

So on May 12 I made a live presentation to [DiEM25](https://diem25.org) members on how we developed it — what went well, and what didn’t. In case you missed it, check it out above. It may give you ideas and inspiration for your own grassroots initiatives.
